The world is full of colors as reflected by every individual stemming from various ethnicity, culture, and belief systems. I see religion as a kind of unique design, as it is ever evolving, shaped by history and by creative inputs of individuals in different time periods. Pre-historic artifacts have shown evidences that ancient people already have the idea of the presence of the divine, that there is this great force that we cannot comprehend, yet it is omnipresent.
As we wear different kinds of colors, or if I may say, religions, to represent the way we see the Divine, then what is this true religion that every organization claim themselves to be? Looking back at the man who revolutionized modern belief, Christ never claimed any affiliation nor initiated any structured system to worship God.
Instead of a religion, He founded the true faith- of establishing our relationship with the Father, no matter which name we call Him, on how forgiving and fatherly God is rather than the punishing persona from the Old texts, of learning from Christ's journey to explain the presence of suffering in this world, of finding hope in the endless mercy and forgiveness of God and to love most truly against any odds.
In coming to terms with the true religion, in what or who it is, the simple answer can be found within. It lies within you- on the way you act, respect and serve mankind, on how much you have loved, forgiven and worshiped, no matter how you perceive God to be.
Now, I ask you. What kind of bread are you? If you feel that something is missing from your life or if you're bewildered regarding your own faith, try to look at yourself on the mirror and contemplate whether your actions are morally correct or not. In the end, your true self will serve as the main ingredient of the bread we know as life.
